INDIANAPOLIS – Four people have been arrested and charged for a quadruple homicide that happened on Indy’s far-east side on Feb. 5.

Kimari Hunt, Braxton Ford, Jalen Roberts, and Marcel Wills were shot and killed in an apartment on Shady Oak Drive, near the intersection of 42nd and Mitthoeffer Road.

According to court papers, the group charged with the murders planned to rob Roberts in his apartment. During the course of the robbery, Hunt, Ford, Roberts, and Wills were killed.

Charges have been filed against the following four individuals:

Rodreice Anderson: Four counts of Felony Murder and four counts of Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury

Cameron Banks: Four counts of Murder, four counts of Felony Murder and four counts of Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury

Desmond Banks: Four counts of Murder, four counts of Felony Murder and four counts of Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury

Lasean Watkins: Four counts of Murder, four counts of Felony Murder and four counts of Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury

Initial hearings for the four defendants have been set for Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. The cases have been assigned to Criminal Court 3.

Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said the four people arrested were picked up with the help of eye witness testimony and recreation of their movements that night, thanks to the digital footprint they left behind on social media.

“That allowed us to establish the links and recreate what individuals were doing on this particular night,” said Mears. “That’s how people communicate now. We’re not really in the days of people just calling someone on the phone. A lot of these communications take place over social media.”

Mears said it’s important that people remember the victims when talking about the arrests and the beginning to the resolution of the case.

“This should’ve never happened. Those individuals did not need to lose their lives on Feb. 5 and I think that’s just a message that I hope all of us remember.”
