Former child star and budding entrepreneur Macauley Culkin was on track to have his acting career resurrected by Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Unfortunately, Macauley, who goes by “Mack” should you run into him at your local 7-11, sucks at auditioning and blew his chance at a comeback.

In a recent interview, Culkin revealed he auditioned for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood. However, according to “Mack” (I saw him for five seconds at Shabu-Shabu in Hollywood back in 2005, so we’re pretty much BFFs now), the odds of seeing him in the film were pretty low.

“It was a disaster. I wouldn’t have hired me,” Mr. Mack told Esquire Magazine. “I’m terrible at auditioning anyway, and this was my first audition in like eight years.”

Sir. Mack failed to mention what role he was up for, but it’s been rumored (meaning I’m making a wild guess) that he was being considered for Manson Family member “Tex Watson,” which would have been pretty awesome, actually.

Plus, had Captain Mack been nominated for an Oscar, we could have played this:

Maybe if you had been a little more prepared, MACK!

By the way, Mack’s been in the news a lot lately. He finally broke his silence and revealed the truth about his relationship with Michael Jackson. The Chicks on the Right and Producer Rob discuss that in today’s edition of “Speed Round.”
