BEECH GROVE, Ind.— Police in Beech Grove are investigating after one person died in a shooting Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Diplomat Court around 10:20 a.m. Sunday on reports of a person shot. That’s at an apartment complex near Churchman and Emerson avenues.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Grace Sibley confirmed one victim was located at the scene and pronounced dead.
No information about a suspect was immediately available.
It is unclear at this time if IMPD or Beech Grove Police Department will be handling the investigation. A homicide report is expected to be released Sunday afternoon.
