ANDERSON, Ind. — The Anderson Police Department is asking the Madison County Prosecutor not to file charges in the hot car death of a three-year-old girl.

Hannah Grace Miller of Anderson died early this month after she was in a hot car for about two hours.

Her parents told police they thought the girl was asleep inside their home with her siblings and that they didn’t realize she was in the car until it was too late. She was removed from the car by her parents and died at St. Vincent Hospital Anderson.

The police investigation into her death is ongoing.
