MADISON COUNTY, Ind.--A convicted sex offender that was on the run Monday in Madison County has been found by police.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says Christopher Moto, 30, of Anderson sexually assaulted a woman Monday morning on East County Road 300 North.
The woman told police Moto assaulted her and then ran away. The woman went to a neighbor’s house for protection.
Officers say they apprehended Moto back where the whole incident began.
Moto was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender and not returning to lawful detention.
He had been previously sentenced on two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor back in 2011.
