INDIANAPOLIS — Ten people are without homes after a fire at an Indianapolis apartment complex.
The Indianapolis Fire Department was dispatched around 1:45 p.m. Sunday to the fire in the 4500 block of Lake Park Blvd. in the Stone Lake Apartments complex.
According to IFD, the fire was started by some smoking materials that were discarded improperly in an outside stairwell.
The IFD had the fire under control within about 20 minutes.
No injuries were reported, but the fire caused an estimated $150,000 in damage to the complex.
