RICHMOND, Ind. – A missing woman was found dead Saturday night in the parking lot of a Richmond grocery store.

The body of Amanda Reece, 27, was found in a car in the parking lot of Needler’s Fresh Market on National Road West.

Reece, who grew up in Richmond and attended Richmond High School, was last seen July 23 and reported missing July 26, according to Richmond’s Palladium-Item newspaper.

An autopsy was performed Sunday in Montgomery County, Ohio.

The coroner found no signs of trauma, such as gunshot wounds, stab wounds, or blunt-force injuries, Richmond Police Sgt. James Doll told the Palladium-Item.

Results of a toxicology test are pending. Once the report is received, authorities will be able to determine an exact cause of death.

Richmond Police say the investigation into Reece’s disappearance and death is ongoing.

Anyone who saw Amanda Reece or knows where she was between July 23 and July 28 is asked to call the Richmond Police Department at 765-983-7247.
