INDIANAPOLIS — An investigation is underway after the death of an inmate at the Marion County Jail.
Brian Wickelhaus, 43, was found unresponsive in his jail cell at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and declared dead at 10:15 p.m.
An investigation into Wickelhaus’ death is being conducted by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the Marion County Forensics Services Agency, and the Marion County Coroner’s Office.
Wickelhaus had been at the jail since his July 25 arrest on charges of battery and domestic battery.
