Kellyanne Conway, President Trump’s chief counselor, thought she’d found a unique way to let her husband know how she feels about his public bashing of her boss. In the end, it blew up in her face.

It all started with an interview Kellyanne gave to The Washington Post in which she complained about her husband’s tweets, and then tried to make the whole conversation disappear.

At one point, after describing her husband’s anti-Trump tweets as “impolite” and “disrespectful,” Conway tried to suggest the whole conversation was off the record. Reporter Ben Terris refused to let her get away with it.

The Chicks on the Right discussed Kellyanne’s misstep on Friday’s show:

Daisy:

“So rather than telling him herself that she wants him to stop with the tweeting about Trump, she tries to do it indirectly? Hey, very healthy marriage!”

Mock:

(laughs) “Well, or maybe she has told him that and he isn’t listening, so now she wants to put public pressure on him.

There is now this really odd transcript floating around, however, which is incredibly embarrassing and just makes her look like a pinhead – especially when she attempts to backpedal once she realizes it’s not ‘off the record.’”

Daisy:

“Well, I don’t think this makes her look bad, it just makes her look like a woman in a relationship with a dude who isn’t respecting her wishes… Or, maybe she’s just desperate.”
