Hey, not everyone is a great speller.

During a segment this weekend on MSNBC, host Al Sharpton completely butchered the spelling of the word “respect” while referencing a song by his late friend Aretha Franklin.

The segment was intended to focus on President Trump’s ongoing feud with Omarosa Manigault-Newman, and the need for the President to show more respect for African-Americans.

The Chicks on the Right offered their take on Sharpton’s latest on-camera blunder:

Daisy:

“How many times has he heard that song? It’s like Gwen Stefani trying to teach people to spell ‘bananas.’ How can you not know the correct spelling by now?”

Mock:

“Obviously, he is receiving all kinds of ribbing for this, and I absolutely adore it.”
