INDIANAPOLIS–A shootout late Thursday night on the east side of Indianapolis led to one arrest while another suspect is still on the loose.

Police said two people started shooting at each other near a Circle K gas station at the intersection of East 25th Street and North Post Road around 11:15.

An off-duty sheriff’s deputy was getting gas when he saw the shootout and chased one of the suspects who was running on Post Road. That deputy arrested that suspect.

Officers say the other shooter ran west and has not been found.

Investigators believe about 30 rounds were fired. They did say that both guns believed to have been used have been found.

No one was hurt or killed.
