INDIANAPOLIS--A shooting just south of downtown Indianapolis has left one man in critical condition.
IMPD says a man was shot around 4:20 Friday morning in the 1300 block of South Sheffield near Morris Street and Belmont Avenue.
Officers found the man shot near a black car with the door open.
Investigators are talking to a person of interest. The man who was shot was taken to Eskenazi Hospital.
The motive for the shooting is unclear at this time.
