The funeral for deceased Senator John McCain was held over the weekend, but very few individuals in the mainstream media have been talking about McCain’s legacy Tuesday.

Instead, the majority of political pundits are focused on the eulogies of Meghan McCain and former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush – all of whom seized the opportunity at McCain’s funeral to throw shade at President Donald Trump.

During an appearance on Fox News, WIBC host Tony Katz told Leland Vittert he would not attack a mourning daughter’s words, adding that he hoped she would not regret her statements in the future:

Katz:

“She clearly loves her father. If the purpose is to remember the legacy of Sen. John McCain…if you go to your social media feed, everyone is talking about this eulogy and about the slam on Preisdent Trump…and their not talking about the legacy of John McCain.

So if the mission was the legacy? Right now, that’s not what got done. That mission was not successful.”
