The White House is allegedly in scramble mode Thursday after the New York Times published an op-ed piece by an anonymous individual who claimed to be a senior member within the Trump administration who is actively working against the President “to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.”

Speculation regarding the author’s identity and motivation to pen the piece has been running rampant since its publication, and WIBC legal correspondent Abdul Hakim-Shabazz might have the most relevant and intelligent take on this latest scandal surrounding the Trump Administration. He joined WIBC hosts Hammer and Nigel Thursday afternoon to offer his perspective:

“I do not see one person after the President who did this. I think this was a handful of individuals working together within the administration who say ‘he’s getting off the rails; we need to reel this in.’ So they get together off-site, no emails are written, someone writes the op-ed piece, it circulates, and then they give it to the one person who has a good relationship with the New York Times. That way, if that person does get caught, the rest of the members remain within the administration to work as part of the resistance.”
