INDIANAPOLIS – Cracked sidewalks, closed bridges, and pothole-filled streets have been a challenge for people who drive and walk in Indianapolis.
But, money to make some needed repairs could be on the way.
The City-County Council is expected to vote Monday night on Mayor Joe Hogsett’s plan to spend up to $120 million in bonds on various infrastructure projects across the city.
Funding would go toward construction and improvement projects for the city’s streets, roads, bridges, traffic signals, curbs, and sidewalks.
The City-County Council also plans to vote on other spending proposals at the meeting, including the 2019 budgets for IndyGo, the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library, and the Indianapolis Airport Authority.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the City-County Building on East Washington Street.
