Chalk another win up for the Second Amendment.

A man who was pumping gas early Saturday shot one of three men who tried to rob him, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

The man was at the Shell gas station on North Military Trail at the intersection with Community Drive when the would-be robbers approached him shortly before 7 a.m. Authorities said the man, who has a concealed weapons permit, fired at them, hitting one of them.

WIBC host Tony Katz:

“Anti-gun zealots hate stories like this because every time someone uses their gun in self-defense, they are hurting the statistics that anti-gun zealots use to push their anti-gun zealotry.

If someone is engaged in violence with a gun, they get to say ‘See? None of this would happen if there wasn’t the gun.’ Here’s a guy who protected himself with a gun, but they’ll argue that he could have made the situation worse. If only he’d handed over his money and let them run off, everything would have been fine and no one would’ve been harmed.”
