Take cover, America! The brilliant mind of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has blessed us once again with her keen political insight!
The first-class progressive pinhead appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday. Host Jake Tapper asked the bird-brain with the pretty smile how the federal government could possibly pay for her $40 trillion socialist wet dream of Medicare for all, job guarantees, student loan forgiveness, free college programs, paid family leave, and Social Security expansion.
As usual, Ocasio-Cortez offered up a heaping serving of word salad, but never really answered the question – mostly because she probably forgot what the hell Tapper had asked her to begin with. Hey, at least the girl knows her name. One giant leap in mental development at a time, people.
“Medicare for all would save the American people a very large amount of money,” she said. “What we see as well is that these systems are not just pie in the sky. Many of them are accomplished by every modern, civilized democracy in the Western world,” she said. “The United Kingdom has a form of single-payer health care — Canada, France, Germany. What we need to realize that these investments are better and they are good for our future.”
In a feeble and hopeless attempt to give Ocasio-Cortez every possible opportunity to demonstrate she’s more than just a mushy-brained moron, Tapper once again asked where that $40 trillion would come from, aside from her proposed increase in taxes on the wealthy and corporate taxes, which she has said would raise a whole $2 trillion over the next 10 years. Her response?
“We do know and acknowledge that there are political realities,” she added. “They don’t always happen with the wave of a wand, but we can work to make these things happen.”
Meanwhile, experts are investigating how Ocasio-Cortez avoids drowning in the shower each morning.
