Sen. Lindsey Graham destroyed partisan Democrats during Thursday’s Senate hearing on sexual assault allegations surrounding Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
After reading a quote from New York Sen. Chuck Schumer’s Twitter, in which the Democratic senator had said, hours after Kavanaugh’s nomination by President Donald Trump, that he would oppose the nomination “with everything I have,” Graham addressed Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who had originally received the allegation of sexual assault from accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and sat on it for weeks.
He went on to vehemently chastise the Democratic senators: “Boy, you all want power. I hope you never get it,” Graham said, shaking his head. “I hope the American people can see through this sham — that you knew about it and you held it. You had no intention of protecting Dr. Ford. None! She’s as much of a victim as you are,” he said, pointing to Kavanaugh.
