FORT WAYNE, Ind. — A man collapsed and died after leading police on a chase on Sunday.

Fort Wayne police were called to LKQ “Pick Your Part”, an auto parts business, after a tip that a wanted man was there in a stolen pickup truck, according to WOWO.

38-year-old Brent Graber, of Peru, Indiana, was at the business with two women. When police arrived he ran away and led police on a chase that included fence jumping and climbing stopped rail cars.

He was taken into custody after being trapped in an empty coal car. However, WOWO says, while in custody Graber collapsed and went into cardiac arrest.

He was taken to a local hospital where he died on Monday, says the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

The cause of Graber’s death remains under investigation.

WANE TV said Graber was wanted for Theft and Home Improvement Fraud in Miami County.

The two women who were with Graber at the business were also arrested. One was arrested on a warrant, the other for possession of narcotics.
