Then, the GOP didn’t mention Hill as a sponsor.
Then, the GOP returned the money to Curtis Hill.

“Indiana Republican Party officials snubbed embattled Attorney General Curtis Hill at Friday night’s big GOP dinner, leaving his name off a list of sponsors on the evening’s program despite a hefty contribution.
Hill, a Republican who is facing an inspector general investigation over groping allegations, paid $5,000 to sponsor the party’s Fall Dinner, which was headlined by Vice President Mike Pence.
The donation from his campaign should have earned him a spot on a list of “Bronze” sponsors in the dinner’s program. But Hill’s name was nowhere to be found.
Hill, who attended the dinner with several prominent GOP donors and fundraisers as his guests, was given no explanation for why his name was left off, according to two people close to Hill. They did not want to be named because they are not authorized to speak on behalf of Hill’s campaign.
When asked Tuesday about the omission, Indiana Republican Party Chairman Kyle Hupfer told IndyStar in a written statement: ‘Pending the outcome of the Inspector General and special prosecutor investigations, it would not be appropriate to accept contributions from either Attorney General Hill or his campaign. While the check has been returned, the Attorney General and a table full of his guests did attend the dinner.’
