INDIANAPOLIS–Two men are still on the run after police say they shot at them at an apartment complex on the far east side of Indianapolis.

IMPD says they were called to the Cheswick Village Apartments where about 10 people were fighting near E. 30th and N. Post Road around 11 Thursday night.

When officers got there, two of the men involved got away from the group and started shouted while walking away. Two officers told those men to stop, but police say they did not listen to those officers and started shooting at them.

One of the officers shot back. No one was hit or injured in the shooting and the suspects got away. Investigators are trying to find them.

It was the second shooting involving an IMPD officer in less than 12 hours.

Earlier Thursday afternoon, an IMPD officer shot a man who had become combative during a traffic stop near E. 16th Street and N. Mitthoeffer Road.

Police say the man had a gun. That man is in critical condition.
