The modern Democrat is nothing if not a gracious loser. Just look at Hillary Clinton’s loss to President Donald Trump in 2016. Oh sure, she wrecked her hotel room on election night, punched a couple assistants in the face, kicked her Secret Service agents in the nuts, and wrote a rageful book about defeat in which she blamed everyone but herself for “What Happened,” but word is she’s starting to come around. Seriously! Just last week she finally managed to have a bowel movement. Progress, kids, progress.

At any rate, Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke seems to be handling his loss to Republican Ted Cruz in a much more gracious – albeit profanity laden – manner.

Following a narrow defeat in the Senate race to incumbent Cruz, O’Rourke told his hometown supporters of El Paso he was “so f—ing proud” of them.

“Tonight’s loss does nothing to diminish the way I feel about Texas or this country. I’m so f—ing proud of you guys,” O’Rourke said of the people who worked on his campaign, shortly after the race was called for the incumbent.

Classy.
