Nine Associates Of White Supremacist Gang Arrested In Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Police say nine people connected with the Aryan Brotherhood white supremacist prison gang have been arrested on many different charges, involving drugs, guns and smuggling contraband into the county Jail.

 

Columbus Police Lt. Matt Harris says detectives have been investigating the gang for more than a year beginning with the arrests of two members, which led to the subsequent arrests of gang members and associates.

 

The following people have been formally charged by the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office:

 

Chelsie S. Harden, 30, Columbus

• Trafficking with an Inmate (Level 5 Felony)
• Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony)
• Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class A Misdemeanor)
• Criminal Gang Activity (Level 6 Felony)
• Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor)

 

Jarred A. Parton, 26, Franklin

• Criminal Gang Activity (Level 6 Felony)
• Battery (Class A Misdemeanor)

 

William Jacob Lustig, 38, Columbus

• Criminal Gang Activity (Level 6 Felony)
• Trafficking with an Inmate (Level 5 Felony)
• Dealing in a Schedule III Controlled Substance (Level 6 Felony)
• Dealing in a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Class A Misdemeanor)

 

Brandon B. Jacobs, 28, Nashville, Indiana

Lt. Harris says it’s not uncommon that two of the nine people arrested and involved with the white supremacist prison gang are women.

 

“It is not surprising to our investigators.  They see associates that are connected with this group that are female,” according to Lt. Harris, who says the presence of the white supremacist gang is troubling to folks in southern Indiana.

 

“It is unsettling and it does bother the members here in the community,” Lt. Harris says.
