NEW MARKET, Ind. — A Montgomery County woman is in jail after police say she fatally shot her husband, then waited three days to call police.
Sheila Ridenour, 55, is charged with murder and failure to report a dead body.
Police say Ridenour called 911 on Monday morning about a dead man in the 5700 block of West County Road 700 South. She then told the operator the dead man was her husband and that she had killed him on Friday.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found the body of 62-year-old Billy Ridenour.
Sheila Ridenour was arrested, charged, and taken to the Montgomery County Jail. She is being held without bail.
