INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle is done for the remainder of the season.
Head Coach Frank Reich confirmed the injury in a press conference today the Indiana Farmers Football Complex in Indianapolis.
He said Doyle suffered the injury after taking a hit to the back in the third quarter of yesterday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
The Colts ended up winning that game 27-24. Doyle was able to catch a touchdown pass from Andrew Luck in the second quarter to put the Colts up 14-7 at that juncture.
Reich said Doyle’s prognosis is good and that he is expected to be released from the hospital “soon.”
Doyle is an Indianapolis-native who payed his high school football at Cathedral.
