Border patrol agents came under heavy criticism following their use of tear gas on migrants trying to cross the U.S.-Mexican border near Tijuana this weekend.
Media outlets such as CNN and MSNBC painted a picture of defenseless women and children being heartlessly gassed, but the truth about what went down this weekend is a far different reality than the current liberal narrative.
Chief Border Patrol Agent for the San Diego Sector, Rodney Scott, dropped a truth bomb on CNN Monday, saying that border patrol officers in riot gear were pelted with rocks by a group that mostly consisted of young men. 42 crossed the border and were arrested.
“I kind of challenge that it was a peaceful protest, or that the majority of these people were claiming asylum,” Rodney Scott told CNN.
“What I saw on the border yesterday was not people walking up to border patrol agents and asking to claim asylum,” Scott said. “If they were truly asylum-seekers they would’ve just walked up with their hands up and surrendered, but that did not take place.”
