INDIANAPOLIS--A head-on crash is what killed a man from Indianapolis in Zionsville Sunday afternoon.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened around 2 in the 7600 block of West Oak Street, west of South County Road 800 East.
When emergency responders got there, they saw a Home City Ice box truck on its side in the north side ditch and a Toyota in the south side ditch.
Witnesses told investigators that the Toyota crossed the center line and hit the box truck head on.
Michael Patrick, 46, of Indianapolis was driving the Toyota and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the box truck, Luke Thomas, 32, was also from Indianapolis. He was not hurt.
Police don’t know if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
