Marion Community Schools announced Sunday that a staff member was terminated after a video circulated on social media, showing the employee aggressively breaking up a fight between two students.

The video, which was posted on Facebook, shows two boys fist fighting when the staff member runs into the room and throws the boys to the ground.

Marion Community Schools released this statement Sunday:

“Friday evening, Marion Community Schools became aware of inappropriate conduct of a high school staff member, and our administrators immediately addressed the issue. The person involved is no longer employed by MCS.

WIBC’s Jason Hammer of the Hammer and Nigel Show released THIS statement Monday afternoon:

“‘Inappropriate conduct’ is breaking up a fight where somebody’s child could have been beaten up or knocked unconscious? I’m not saying that he didn’t go in their like a linebacker, but to say that that’s inappropriate conduct and to put this press release out, Marion County Schools should be ashamed of themselves.”
