INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Metro Police are looking for the person who burned a dog to death and left its body in a vacant lot on the city’s northwest side.

The dog was found Dec. 13 in an abandoned shed in the 2600 block of Lincoln Avenue near North Michigan Road and West 62nd Street. Police believe the dog was burned somewhere else and brought to the shed.

IMPD said the dog was a male German Shepherd mix. Officers believe he was about a year old and may have had a brown coat.
