INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Colts rookie linebacker Darius Leonard and rookie offensive lineman Quenton Nelson have nade history.

The rookie tandem have been named to the NFL’s First Team All-Pro by the Associated Press. They are the first rookie duo to do that since Gale Sayers and Dick Bukus did it with the Chicago Bears in 1965.

They also join Alan Ameche (1955), Milt Davis (1957) and Edgerrin James (1999) as the only Colts rookies to be selected Associated Press First Team All-Pro.

Leonard started all 15 games he played in during the regular season and finished as the NFL’s leading tackler with 163 tackles.

Nelson started all 16 regular season games. He was part of an O-Line that allowed the fewest sacks in the NFL this season, allowing Andrew Luck to be sacked just 18 times.

The Colts will take on the Houston Texans this Saturday at 4:35 p.m. EDT in the AFC Wild Card round.
