INDIANAPOLIS–Someone broke into a church and stole a television Monday morning on the south side of Indianapolis.

Police say it happened at the East Street Apostolic Church at 1909 S. East street, which is northwest of Madison Avenue and East Raymond Street. Someone threw a rock into a glass door and then took the television that is used during church services.

When the alarm went off, the person ran away.

“Regardless of what they have done, I hope they know that the church here still loves them,” said Daniel Parnell, senior pastor at the church.

“This is a church that is affirming of all people and, even though they may have hurt us a little bit through doing this, this church still stands as a place of welcome and of love for all people,” Parnell said.

If you have any information about this crime or any crime, you can call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
