Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s absence this week from Supreme Court oral arguments – her first since joining the bench – has fueled speculation and rumored planning from the White House about the possibility her retirement.
Sources confirmed to Fox News that “the White House has quietly reached out to a small number of GOP lawmakers and conservative legal advocates, reassuring them it would be ready for any court vacancy. Under new White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, a ready list of top-tier candidates is being updated.”
Katz:
“This is going to be a remarkable development at this moment. The progressive left is already apoplectic that President Trump has been able to get two judges on the court – but elections have consequences.
…America voted for Donald Trump and part of that calculous was the Supreme Court – 150 percent.
…If indeed Ruth Bader Ginsburg announces her retirement, that gives Donald Trump a third judge, and that is going to send the political left out of their skull.”
