ZIONSVILLE, Ind. — A Zionsville man who had a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old boy will spend the next three years in prison.

Ryan Bohl, 23, was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.

He was originally charged with two counts of child molestation, but those charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement reached with prosecutors.

Bohl met the boy in 2015 on a website where the boy had registered as an 18-year-old, according to The Lebanon Reporter. Even after the boy revealed his real age, the sexual relationship continued, according to court documents. The boy’s mother reported Bohl to the police in 2017.

Bohl will serve six years on probation following his release from prison.
