KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs smothered the Indianapolis Colts en route to a 31-13 win to earn a berth in the AFC Championship Game next Sunday. 

This will be the first time in franchise history that Kansas City has played host to the conference championship. 

Chiefs running back Damien Williams rushed for 129 yards and scored once.

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, after the game: “Tough sledding, not the start we wanted, [the&#93 middle we wanted, not the finish we wanted…But our heads are held high.”

“I very much appreciate the men in that locker room,” Luck said. “They’ve had a tremendously positive impact on me. … I know we can get better as a football team.”

Kansas City plays the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game Sunday.
