INDIANAPOLIS — A body was found in a vacant house Sunday afternoon, and it’s being ruled a homicide.
Officers were called to the 900 block of North Oakland Avenue around 3 p.m. Sunday on a report of a person dead in an abandoned residence.
They found a man’s body when they arrived. Detectives observed trauma on the body and ruled his death a homicide.
Sgt. Jim Gillespie with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed later that night that the man’s death would be investigated as a criminal homicide.
