STATEWIDE — You might have to wait one more day for that important letter or package to arrive in the mail.

The U.S. Postal Service has suspended mail delivery on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, for most of Indiana due to cold weather.

If your zipcode begins with the these three numbers, you will not receive mail on Thursday:

  • 460-469
  • 472-475
  • 478, 479

All post office retail sites will be open, except for the Goshen location, which will remain closed due to a power outage.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this weather related service disruption has caused,” said District Manager Todd Hawkins, Greater Indiana District. “The safety and well-being of our employees is of paramount concern to the Postal Service.”
