COLUMBUS, Ind.–Columbus Police believe a man named Alejandro Espinoza Ocampo, has information on the death of Araceli Jaimes Macedo, whose body was found on the side of the interstate, near Columbus.
Araceli’s body was found Sept. 17, 2018 at around 8:45 p.m. between mile markers 64-65 of the northbound lanes of I- 65 in Columbus, said Lt. Matt Harris, of the Columbus Police Dept.
“We initially had some difficulty in identifying her,” said Harris. “We actually used social media and sent out photos. Her family in the Lexington, Kentucky area ended up recognizing the tattoos and contacted officers.”
Harris said the case has been investigated non-stop since September.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Columbus Police Department at 812-376-2600. Tips and information can be left anonymously, said Harris.
