INDIANAPOLIS — A man is in critical condition following a car chase Wednesday morning, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Police say that just before 9:45 a.m., officers responded to the area of English and Bradley avenues for a report of a stolen vehicle.

Soon after officers arrived on scene, the stolen vehicle fled, leading to a police pursuit.

After getting on I-65 North/I-70 East from Michigan Street, the stolen vehicle went east on I-70 and the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The car then went off the south side of the road and down an embankment. During the crash, the male driver was ejected from the vehicle.

He was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi in critical condition.

A law enforcement source tells News 8 that the chase is related to the series of raids being carried out across the city Wednesday.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
