INDIANAPOLIS — A man stole an ambulance on I-65 this morning downtown.
IMPD says the incident started when the suspect pulled a gun on another person at the scene of a crash on I-70. They stole that person’s car, crashed it on I-65 near Meridian.
“The suspect flagged down an ambulance,” said Officer Aaron Hamer in a press release. “The paramedics attempted to assist him when the suspect hijacked the ambulance (while still armed) at which point he drove off stopping later further down the highway.”
He was stopped by police officers immediately afterwards and was arrested.
