DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. — Health officials want you to get a Hepatitis A vaccine if you had food at Martin’s Tavern in Dekalb County.

The Dekalb County Health Department said an employee was diagnosed with Hepatitis A and handled food while he was infected.

ABC 21 says the employee worked at the restaurant on February 1, 2, and February 5-9.

Anyone who ate there on February 7-9 should get a vaccination by February 23 as a precaution.

Anyone who ate there before that is outside the window of post-exposure care. Health officials say you should be on the look-out for symptoms.

Hepatitis A can cause a loss of appetite, nausea, fatigue, fever, stomach pain, brown-colored urine and light-colored stools.

You can get vaccinated at the Dekalb County Health Department this Friday and Saturday.
