INDIANAPOLIS — Got old tech you need to get rid of? Well, the Indianapolis Zoo has you covered.

Almost anything with a cord can be dropped off at the zoo this Saturday for Power Recycling Day.

Why the zoo, you ask? That’s because electronic waste makes up 70 percent of environmental pollutants, and the zoo is working to clean some of it up.

The zoo won’t accept large appliances, but you can bring the following items:

  • computers
  • video game systems
  • cellphones
  • tablets
  • telephones
  • VCRs/DVDs
  • scanners
  • copiers
  • printers
  • fax machines
  • keyboards
  • microwaves
  • power cables

You can also bring old TVs and monitors, but there’s a $10 processing fee.

Drop your items off between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., and you’ll receive a $2 off coupon for zoo admission.
