MOSCOW — A prominent Russian lawmaker says now is the time to reset U.S.-Moscow relations after Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation cleared President Trump of Russian collusion.

Parliament member Konstantin Kosachyov wrote on Facebook today that Russia is ready to take that step if Trump is willing to take the risk.

First on the agenda should be dealing with nuclear weapons agreements that have been sidelined by both nations during the Trump administration.

The Mueller report still accused Russia of meddling in the 2016 election. On Sunday Attorney General William Barr released a summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report concluding the Trump campaign did not cooperate with Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump said he is “completely and totally exonerated” and he called the investigation an illegal takedown that failed.
