HOBART, Ind.–A man from Indiana is accused of threatening to kill President Trump on Facebook.
Steffon Gonzalez, 20, of Hobart was charged Monday with intimidation because police say he posted the threat on Facebook last Thursday. Investigators say the post read, “Standing outside with my 22 long rifle ready to kill trump.”
It also included information about a rally the President was holding in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Secret Service showed up to Gonzalez’s house on Saturday with other police officers and arrested Gonzalez.
The Northwest Indiana Times reports Gonzalez denies making the threat and says he hardly ever uses Facebook.
