Indiana Rep. Jim Lucas dropped by the WIBC studios Tuesday to speak with host Rob Kendall and set the record straight about his alleged ‘feud’ with fellow conservative, Rep. Curt Nisly over the issue of Constitutional Carry in the Hoosier state.
According to Rep. Lucas, gun rights advocates have scored a number of key wins in the 2019 session of the General Assembly; however, Constitutional Carry was an issue that was strategically problematic to present in conjunction with other bills that were under consideration this year.
Rep. Lucas submitted Constitutional Carry a total of four times over the course of his seven years serving in the Indiana Legislature. Republican leadership in the Indiana General Assembly last refused to allow Constitutional Carry to get a vote in 2018.
