INDIANAPOLIS — An inmate was found dead on Wednesday afternoon in the Marion County jail.
Ann Ottinger, 24, is believed to have killed herself, say representatives from the jail. She was found unresponsive just before 2:30 p.m. and was pronounced dead a little after 3 p.m.
Ottinger was arrested on April 1 on drug charges, and was scheduled for release on June 8.
A death investigation is underway by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the Marion County Forensic Services Agency and the Marion County coroner’s office. There will also be an internal affairs investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
