INDIANAPOLIS — If you have any old paper that needs shredding, Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana has you covered Saturday.

Shred-It and Electronics Recycling Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at five locations across Central Indiana.

The event doubles as a fundraiser for Crime Stoppers, as well as an opportunity for you to prevent identity theft by properly getting rid of important information.

You can take documents, electronics and even medicine bottles to be disposed of properly.

Each box of documents will be shredded for $5, and electronics will be disposed of for $10. All forms of medicine can be disposed of for free. The proceeds will help Crime Stoppers, which is a nonprofit, continue keeping Hoosiers safe.
