CROWN POINT, Ind. — A northwestern Indiana woman is accused of running over her boyfriend not once but twice with a car and killing him.

Briana Rice, 23, of Hammond went in for an initial hearing on Monday in Lake County and pleaded not guilty.

She’s accused of murder, voluntary manslaughter and leaving the scene in the death of 25-year-old Terrondy Jones on April 24.

A witness told police she saw a couple arguing outside an apartment building. The man began to walk away from a car, and a woman driver ran him over twice before driving away, said the Post-Tribune.
