Mayor Joe Hogsett secured the Democrat nomination for Mayor of Indianapolis Tuesday night, a job he will hold for another four years if he can defeat Indiana State Senator Jim Merritt, the Republican nominee.

Both Hogsett and Merritt are running on issues of public safety, roads and bridges, and economic development.

Mayor Hogsett spoke with WIBC News Director Chris Davis and political correspondents Abdul-Hakim Shabazz & Eric Berman Tuesday night.

WIBC host Tony Katz played selected portions of Mayor Hogsett’s interview during Wednesday’s edition of the Popcorn Moment.
