INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Metro Police have arrested a man wanted for questioning in the death of his eight-year-old daughter.

Kendall Brye, 40, was arrested Monday in Indianapolis by Indy Metro Police and US Marshals.

Brye was wanted on an “open warrant related to the case,” according to IMPD.

Police had been looking for Brye for more than a month.

Kendrielle Brye was shot in a home on Culver Street on March 24. A parent brought her to a fire station after the shooting; she was rushed to Riley Hospital for Children, where she died.

Kendrielle’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

The girl’s mother, Tiffany White, was arrested for neglect last month. IMPD said White gave them various accounts of what happened on the day her daughter was shot, none of which supported evidence collected at the scene.
