INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police are looking for the man who stole a prop gun from a vendor at April’s NRA Convention in Indianapolis.
Indy Metro Police say the man entered the Convention Center at about 12:18 p.m. April 28 and used a knife to cut the tether securing items to a display.
After taking the gun from the display, he left the Convention Center through the Capitol Avenue Doors.
Police say the gun was a “non-functional firearm” used for display purposes and not a real weapon.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
